Regular locomotive washing and cleaning service started recently at Makis Marshalling Yard. The equipment consists of a special machine repaired and modified lately for the first time after 30 years when it was bought, - they said at the Traction and Maintenance Unit of Serbian Railways.

- In the past 10 days, since the machine has been set in motion, we washed 15 electric and diesel locomotives. The “operation” lasts two hours, so that three or four locomotives can be washed each day, - they said in their statement for Media Center.
 
The locomotives will be regularly washed in Makis every six months.
