For the carriage of wagon-load consignments (wagon-load consignments are the consignments for which you require an exclusive use of wagons or consignments, which under current law, tariff or other regulations must be carried in separate wagons), the consignor shall request the wagons and, if necessary, loading tackle at the forwarding station (KOL-23 wagon request order, Kol 23, Spt 31, Annex IV, sample 12). Depending on the class of goods and the weight and volume of the consignment, you shall request corresponding wagons of which you will be advised by the polite personnel of our stations.Wagon ordering is performed not later than 48 hours (2 days), except if the need occurs for special wagons ordered for 72 hours minimum (3 days) before planned loading.
Railway worker shall inform the transportation services user about setting the wagon in the loading site in a convenient or agreed way, who is obliged that, upon received notification on wagon setting starts with loading within two hours for individual wagons, and/or six hours for group of wagons.
You can independently agree with the railways about the way of making requests, supply of wagons and mutual exchange of information. Depending on type of service (domestic or international), you will buy a corresponding form at our station ticket offices.
If you make a payment at the forwarding station, you will sign the contract of carriage when the acceptance of a consignment for carriage has been validated by putting a “PAID” stamp at the forwarding ticket office after the acceptance of all items entered into the consignment note. As a proof that the contract of carriage has been concluded, a part of the consignment note – “Duplicate of the consignment note” – will be issued to you. |
