Cultural-Artistic Society Zeleznicar was founded in 1946. From 1983 the society starts its successful period, and today is one of the best amateur folklore ensemble. The society has about 250 members, divided into several sections, and the most active is Musical-Folklore Section, composed of pupils, students, and workers under 25 years of age.
For the achieved results, the society won many prizes. The Serbian Amateur Association special diploma, on the Republic Parade of Folklore Ensembles of Serbia in 1998 in Kragujevac.
15th April Prize of ZJZ in the year of 1989, for the best Railway Cultural-Artistic Society in Serbia. The Serbian Amateur Association Diploma, as the highest prize of the Republic Parade of Folklore Ensembles of Serbia, during the 6th, 7th and 8th parade, in 1992, 1994, and 1996.
For the three times we participated the Superfinales of the Workers Cultural-Artistic Societies of Serbia Festival, in Belgrade, in 1993, 1994, and 1995, when we were announced as the best ensemble on the Festival.
In the April 1995 the Society got the diploma "Golden Cross of Mother Angelina's Heritage", for the originality of costumes (national costumes) in Jakovo, near Belgrade. On its repertoire, the Society has 15 choreographies and the ability to perform for 120 minutes. Till now we traveled in Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Switcherland.
