In the technical-technological process of traffic planning, special place is for signal-safety railway technique. This is very important especially when the density of traffic is increased and in the time of higher speed induction.

Beside the contribution to the safe way of traffic regulation, the signal-safety devices help the increasing of passing power of railway and stations, which also increases the level of utilization of railway resources.

On the tracks of "Serbian Railways" there are several types of signal-safety devices, and the difference is between decisions, manufacturers and the time of manufacturing.

Our organizational unit occupies with regular and investment maintenance of signal-safety devices, in order to increase safety, speed, regularity and economy of the traffic and to procure maximum conditions for the safe and regular functioning of the railway traffic.

The safe functioning of the railway traffic could not be imagined without signal-safety equipment. These devices provide the central switching and signal positioning, continuous supervision of trains on signal boxes and displays, safe crossing with road traffic and safe passengers and freight transport.

During the modernization in 70-tees, we embedded the relay signal-safety devices, of the type SpDrS 64 JŽ, produced by Siemens - EI FSU, on the whole Corridor X, from Šid to Preševo and from Belgrade to Bar. We also modernized the railway Inđija - Naumovićevo, by the relay signal-safety devices of the type Wabco Westinghouse, as well as the railway Lešak - Đeneral Janković, by the relay signal-safety devices of the company Ericson. On the Corridor X, from Belgrade to Presevo and on the railway Belgrade - Vrbnica, the telecontrol of the company Wabco Westinghouse is installed, and it functions successfully.

The marshalling yard in Makiš is completely insured, which means that the hump is mechanized, as well as the reception and routing of the trains.
